The committee has been functioning since 2024. The head of the committee is Ellina Izotkina, Senior associate of International Disputes Practice at Level Legal Services.

The mission of the Committee on Arbitration in Asia is to promote the strengthening of ties between Russian and Asian ADR professionals, promote best practices in international arbitration and create a platform for professional development of young professionals.

We aim to promote cooperation between Russian and Asian arbitration institutions (including HKIAC, SIAC, SCIACHK and others), facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience, and strengthen Russia's position as an active participant in the international arbitration environment in Asia.

Ellina Izotkina is a qualified lawyer in Russia and has the status of an advocate. Ellina represents foreign and Russian clients in complex cross-border disputes and in international commercial arbitration (LCIA, SCC, ICC, DIAC). Ellina's special interests include advising on sanctions, embargoes and blocking statutes in various jurisdictions.

Having received a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Hong Kong, Ellina focuses on cases involving companies in the Asia-Pacific region and, in particular, Mainland China and Hong Kong. Ellina is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London) in the East Asia division, as well as a member of the IPBA and HK45.
