Investment Arbitration Committee has been functioning since the foundation of Young IMA. 

From 2020 till now, Co-Heads of Investment Arbitration Committee are 

 (Senior Associate, LGP Middle East) and 

(Counsel, Axioma; Attorney at Law, Yurlov & Partners). From 2017 to 2020, 

(Counsel, Wilkie Farr & Gallagher LLP) was Head of Committee.

Through collaborative educational and research initiatives, we aim to create a community of individuals interested in investment arbitration, as well as to expand opportunities for young professionals in this field by equipping them with the knowledge and experience necessary for their work.

Sports Arbitration Committee has been functioning since the foundation of Young IMA. 

 has been the Head of the Committee from its formation until the present time. 

We aim to support the interest of young professionals in resolving disputes in the field of professional sports through arbitration, exchange experience and knowledge, as well as assist athletes within the pro-bono projects of the Committee.

Corporate Disputes Arbitration Committee brings together young professionals whose activities are related to resolving corporate disputes and promotes the development of corporate dispute arbitration in Russia. 

It has been functioning since the foundation of Young IMA. From 2017 to 2020, Yulia Mikhaltchuk was a Head of the Committee. Since 2020, the Committee has been led by Sergey Konovalov (Partner, Saveliev, Batanov and Partners).

We aim to unite and support a new generation of lawyers interested in resolving corporate disputes.

Ellina Izotkina is a qualified lawyer in Russia and has the status of an advocate. Ellina represents foreign and Russian clients in complex cross-border disputes and in international commercial arbitration (LCIA, SCC, ICC, DIAC). Ellina's special interests include advising on sanctions, embargoes and blocking statutes in various jurisdictions.

Having received a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Hong Kong, Ellina focuses on cases involving companies in the Asia-Pacific region and, in particular, Mainland China and Hong Kong. Ellina is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London) in the East Asia division, as well as a member of the IPBA and HK45.

Ellina Izotkina

Dmitry is a graduate of the International Law Faculty of MGIMO (U) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and a master's degree student at the Paris Institute of Political Sciences of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po Paris). In his practice, Dmitry specializes in the commercial and investment arbitration (both for and against sovereign states), as well as cross-border litigation.  

Dmitry has been listed in the Top-10 Young Arbitration Practitioners by the Russian Arbitration Association’s under 40 division and has been featured by Best Lawyers among the 'Ones to Watch' in the field of International Arbitration and Mediation in France for 2024.

In addition to his professional activities, Dmitry regularly participates in conferences, and he is the author of publications in Russian, English and French on issues of international arbitration and law.

Dmitry Bayandin

Boris specializes in resolving complex and cross-border litigation, as well as international commercial and investment arbitration under the rules of ICSID, SCC, RAC and other institutions. A significant part of Boris's experience is related to the resolution of construction disputes.

Boris regularly participates as an arbitrator in arbitration competitions: Willem C. Vis Moots and V.P. Mozolina Moot Court. He recommended by Pravo.ru rating in the categories “International Litigation” and “International Arbitration”. Boris completed courses at the Summer Academy and the RISA Academy for Arbitrators. He is a co-author of the podcast and telegram channel “Four Opinions”. 

Boris has the status of advocate and speaks English.

Boris Glushenkov

Ksenia is a graduate of the International Law Faculty of the MGIMO Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia (bachelor's and master's degrees) and the Law Faculty of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles (visiting scholar program). Ksenia also conducted academic research in the field of multi-party arbitration at the Institute of Contemporary Legal Studies in London.

Ksenia has experience representing clients in state courts and arbitration in international commercial and maritime disputes, and also acts as an arbitrator. At MGIMO she teaches such disciplines as international private law, international trade law, international commercial arbitration and civil procedure of foreign countries. In addition, Ksenia is a coach for the MGIMO team to participate in competitions dedicated to current issues of international commercial arbitration, including the International Competition for International Commercial Arbitration named after. M.G. Rosenberg and the Competition for Arbitration of Corporate Disputes named after. V.P. Mozolin.

Ksenia is the author of a number of publications devoted to the problems of resolving complex disputes in international commercial arbitration from the point of view of the composition of participants and contracts, and a speaker at Russian and international conferences.

Ksenia is a member of international associations of specialists in the field of arbitration: LCIA Young International Arbitration Group, ICC Young Arbitrators Forum, ICDR Young & International, ASA Below 40 of the Swiss Arbitration Association, etc.

Ksenia Stepanova

Partner at ILIN  | ILIN, advocate, visiting lecturer at the Department of Legal Regulation of Business, Faculty of Law, National Research University Higher School of Economics. He graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, and is a graduate student at the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Dmitry represents Russian and foreign clients in complex structured M&A transactions, including the preparation of SPA / SHA. Dmitry is regularly engaged by investors to review documents prepared by the parties' legal teams.

Dmitry has extensive experience representing clients in complex commercial and infrastructure disputes in Russian state courts and in international arbitration, including the subsequent recognition and enforcement of arbitration awards, especially on corporate law issues, including liability of company management bodies, disputes from SPA / SHA, subsidiary liability of controlling persons in bankruptcy. Dmitry has extensive experience in preparing expert opinions on Russian law for foreign courts and arbitrations, and also provides sanctions consulting.

In 2023, Kommersant included Dmitry in the individual rating of lawyers in the field of International Commercial Arbitration (rising stars). In 2020, the rating of recommended lawyers “Pravo-300” noted Dmitry in the practice “International Arbitration” (I group).
