Investment Arbitration Committee has been functioning since the foundation of Young IMA. 

From 2020 till now, Co-Heads of Investment Arbitration Committee are 

 (Senior Associate, LGP Middle East) and 

(Counsel, Axioma; Attorney at Law, Yurlov & Partners). From 2017 to 2020, 

(Counsel, Wilkie Farr & Gallagher LLP) was Head of Committee.

Through collaborative educational and research initiatives, we aim to create a community of individuals interested in investment arbitration, as well as to expand opportunities for young professionals in this field by equipping them with the knowledge and experience necessary for their work.

graduated from MGIMO University with bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as from Uppsala University in Sweden, in the LL.M. in Investment Treaty Arbitration program.

In her practice, Elena specializes in international disputes within the framework of commercial and investment arbitration, as well as inter-state disputes. She has authored numerous publications in reputable Russian and international journals, participated in conferences on investment arbitration and international law, and been engaged in investment arbitration competitions such as FIAMC and FDI Moot Court, both as a student and as a coach, organizer, and arbitrator.

She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), accepts appointments as an arbitrator, and is listed in the New Generation Directory of Russian Arbitrators. Elena is recommended by Best Lawyers in Russia 2022.

Elena Burova

Nikita Kondrashov is a Counsel at Axioma law firm and Advocate at Yurlov and Partners law firm.

Nikita is a graduate of the International Law Faculty of MGIMO University, the master's program of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in International Law, and the Bucerius Law School (Hamburg, Germany) master's program.

Nikita specializes in resolving commercial disputes in foreign courts, commercial arbitration, as well as international investment disputes with states.

Over the past 10 years, Nikita has been involved in a number of major projects related to dispute resolution in both arbitration and state courts in European, Middle Eastern, and Asian jurisdictions. Nikita has also been involved in resolving a significant number of investment disputes between private investors, European states, and Central Asian countries.

In addition to his legal practice, Nikita serves as an arbitrator in commercial arbitrations.

In addition to his professional activities, Nikita regularly participates in conferences on arbitration topics and publishes academic papers on issues related to arbitration proceedings and international law.

Nikita is the co-chair of the Young IMA Council, established under the auspices of the Russian Arbitration Center at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration, a member of the Reviewers' Committee of the ICSID Review journal published by Oxford University Press, and is also involved in several working groups researching arbitration and international law issues.
